CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington College Director of Athletics Thad Moore has been informed that head field hockey coach Anne Kietzman will be leaving the post to pursue an opportunity elsewhere.

"During Annie's six years at Washington College, she had a tremendous impact on our department both on and off the field," expressed Moore.  "Serving as our first ever Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Annie created policy and programming that we will continue to build upon in the future."

Kietzman was named head coach of the Shorewomen back in 2017 and made an immediate impact by leading the team to the Centennial Conference Tournament. In 2022, Kietzman guided the Shorewomen back to the postseason for a second time. In total, 12 All-Centennial Conference players and four all-region selections represented the Shorewomen during Kietzman's six years in charge.

"It's never easy losing a quality coach and an even better person but we wish Annie nothing but the best of luck in the next phase of her professional career," said Moore.
