Muhlenberg at Washington College (Women's
Basketball)
The highest-ranked team in the Conference travels to the Eastern
Shore to take on one of the hottest teams in the Centennial. The
Mules (8-2 CC, 13-2), ranked 14th by D3hoops.com, have dominated
the series winning 27 of the last 28 meetings, including a 71-63
win in Allentown on Dec. 3. The Shorewomen's (6-5, 11-5) last
victory was a 64-63 triumph at the Cain Center in 2007. WAC has won
nine of their last 11 games since the loss to 'Berg. Muhlenberg is
led by Alexandra Chili (17.3) and Alita Zabrecky (16.3) who are 1-3
in the CC in scoring. Washington's Meghan Tait is one of the top
all-around players in the Conference, averaging 9.8 points, 7.4
rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
Gettysburg at Haverford (Women's
Basketball)
The Bullets (6-5, 8-8) travel to the Main Line to tangle with the
Fords (7-4, 12-4) looking to do something that no Gettysburg team
has ever done - avenge a loss to Haverford. The Fords won their
first-ever game against the Orange and Blue by a 66-65 count in
overtime on Jan. 5. Defense will be the name of this game, as
Haverford is first in the Conference in scoring defense (49.3),
while Gettysburg is third (51.1). Keep an eye on the inside battle
between the Bullets' Sara Kinsley and Haverford's Dominique
Meeks.
Merchant Marine, Stevens, W&L at McDaniel
(Wrestling)
The Conference dual-meet schedule kicks into high gear on
Saturday. Wrestlers to watch include 157 Brent
Lowe (16-2) of McDaniel, 165 Joey Favia
(18-5) of Stevens, 184 Erik Schott (15-9) of
Merchant Marine and 165 David Dennis (12-4) of
W&L.
