Muhlenberg Softball vs. Ursinus Women's Swimming to Face Off for Top Play of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The championship round is set for the 2021-22 Centennial Conference Top Play of the Year Challenge following a dramatic conclusion to the semifinal round on the Centennial Twitter page - @CentennialConf. 

The championship will take place from Friday, July 8 through Monday, July 11. The Top Play of the Year winner will be announced on Monday, July 11. 

In the semifinals, two plays moved onto the championship after a frenzied voting period that came down to the wire for both matchups. In a back-and-forth battle, Sarah Karmazyn's walk-off homer to win the CC championship for Muhlenberg softball earned 51.5% of the vote to knock out Katherine Carstensen's diving save in the CC championship for McDaniel women's soccer. 

In another close semifinal tilt, Sophie Lear's performance at the CC swimming championship for Ursinus swimming secured 51.3% of the vote to defeat Reilly Morgan's behind-the-back goal for Ursinus women's lacrosse in an all-Ursinus semifinal.
