FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The No. 7 Swarthmore College men's basketball team had their incredible postseason run come to an end with a 69-66 loss versus #2 Christopher Newport University on Saturday night.

Vinny DeAngelo and George Visconti both put together 20 point efforts to lead the way for Swarthmore. DeAngelo paced all scorers with a game-high 23 points, while Visconti added 21 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the floor. The duo kept the Garnet in the game with huge buckets down the stretch as the team nearly pulled off another improbable comeback.

Swarthmore stayed in the game due to an overwhelming advantage in free throw percentage. The Captains struggled from the line as they shot 15-of-24 from the charity stripe, while the Garnet took advantage of every opportunity with a perfect 17-for-17 from the foul line. However, Swarthmore did lose the turnover battle 13-4 as the Captains possessed the ball at an elite level.
