NORMAN, Okla. – Ryan McGarry (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames), a senior on the McDaniel men's golf team, has been named to a Division III PING All-America honorable mention, released by the Golf Coaches Association of America recently.

McGarry, an All-Centennial Conference and all-region nod, is the Green Terror's first men's golf All-American since Tony Worm in 1998.

McGarry posted a 74.0 stroke average over his 20 rounds. He placed in the top 10 in seven of his 10 events, including five top-five showings and two wins. He had five rounds of par or better, including a program-record round of 64 to win the Dickinson Fall Invitational on Sept. 18 that capped a run of three straight rounds of 68 or better and back-to-back tournament wins. He was fifth at the conference championship, including posting an even-par 70 in the final round.

McGarry was one of 27 golfers to earn a nod as honorable mention in addition to 25 who were named to the first, second, and third teams.
