WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- Gettysburg jumped out to the early lead in the team standings while Dickinson's Collin McMahon-Shea sits atop the individual leaderboard after day one of the 2023 Centennial Conference men's golf championship at Waynesboro Country Club on Friday.

McMahon-Shea carded a one-under par 71 to take a three-shot lead into day two. That score ties the third-lowest opening round score in Centennial championship history. Gettysburg's Thibault Eelen is in second place after firing a two-over 74, Swarthmore's Dylan Zhang shot a 75, and the Franklin & Marshall duo of Jas Fuhrer and Shane Lawler both shot 76.

The Bullets own a two-shot team lead over F&M in a tightly-bunched team standings through 18 holes. Just eight strokes separate first through fifth place, with Gettysburg (311), F&M (313), Dickinson (314), Swarthmore (315) and McDaniel (319) all in the mix after day one. Muhlenberg (342) and Ursinus (347) round out the day one team scores.

With rain in the forecast for Sunday, Saturday's play will feature 36 holes to conclude the 54-hole championship. Round two will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., with the final round to follow in the afternoon.
