Ryan Butler, So, Ursinus

Butler scored three goals in an undefeated week for the Bears. Two of his goals were in the win over Washington. Butler helped Ursinus to seven wins for the first time since the 2008 season.


 

Defensive Player of the Week

Sam Miller, Fr, Haverford

Miller allowed just one goal in 200 minutes of action as he made his first two career starts in an undefeated week for the Fords (1-0-1). The freshman tallied a career-high eight saves against Muhlenberg to earn his first career shutout.


 

Notebook:

Senior Javier Mena netted the game-winner in the Devils' lone outing last week, leading the Red Devils past Gettysburg, 2-1, on Saturday. The Devils converted a PK, just 1:56 into the second half before Mena tallied, 3:45 after the break.

T.J. White recorded his ninth shutout of the season when F&M downed DeSales 3-0 on Wednesday. The junior goalkeeper followed up the effort with a five-save performance against Johns Hopkins on Saturday, allowing only one goal in 110 minutes of action. Through the course of two contests, White collected a 0.47 goals against average to go along with a .875 save percentage after stopping seven of the eight shots he faced. 

Johns Hopkins freshman Samy Ramadane scored the game-winning goal in the 93rd minute Wednesday night as Hopkins beat a Neumann squad that had won four straight and was unbeaten in eight of its last nine games. His goal versus Neumann was his first career goal. Ramadane then scored in the 80th minute against an F&M squad that had given up just four goals in 12 games entering Saturday's contest.

In his first two starts of the season, Muhlenberg junior Danny Pinto allowed only one goal (on a penalty kick) while making nine saves in a win and a tie against a pair of regionally ranked teams. Pinto stopped one shot in a 2-1 win against TCNJ before recording a career-high eight saves in a scoreless tie at Haverford.

Sophomore Tyler Zon did not surrender a goal and turned away one shot in a relief effort in Swarthmore's 1-0 loss against #11 Stevens on Wednesday night.

Ursinus junior goalkeeper Ryan Murphy only allowed one goal in two games for a 0.53 GAA.

Junior Matt Wilfong scored one goal and added an assist for the Shoremen during the week.  He scored the team's lone goal at Ursinus on October 12 and had an assist in the team's 4-1 victory over Division II's Georgian Court on October 8.
