All-CC Men's Soccer: Jannelli Repeats as Player of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Haverford's Nick Jannelli repeated as Player of the Year while Muhlenberg's Chris Richards and Franklin & Marshall head coach Dan Wagner collected the other top awards on the 2019 All-Centennial Conference Men's Soccer Team.

Jannelli, a senior forward, earned back-to-back Player of the Year honors, becoming just the second player in CC history to win the award multiple times. Former F&M standout Brandon Corday (2006-07) is the only other CC player to earn that prestigious distinction as a two-time Player of the Year. Jannelli is also just the 21st player in CC history to earn first team all-conference honors at least three times.

Richards was selected as the Rookie of the Year. The Mules' freshman midfielder is the first Muhlenberg player to receive top rookie honors in the eight-year history of the award. Richards was also named first team All-CC, becoming just the 12th freshman in the history of the conference to land on the first team.

Wagner was selected by his peers as Coach of the Year after guiding the Diplomats to the top seed in the CC postseason. It is the first Coach of the Year honor for the F&M coach.

Gettysburg's Ezekiel Omosanya earned All-Centennial first team accolades for the fourth time in his career. The senior defender joins an elite grouping of just seven players in CC history to secure a spot on the first team all four years of their career.

Janelli and Omosanya led a group of 14 players who repeated as All-CC selections. Among those earning all-conference accolades for the third time were Johns Hopkins' Achim Younker, Connor Jacobs and R.J. Moore, and Dickinson's Kevin Gilbert. Players who collected their second All-CC awards included Gettysburg's Oladayo Thomas, F&M's Connor Whitacre and A.J. Kopacz, Johns Hopkins' Xander Lefevre, Alejandro Maclean, and Pablo Martinez, Swarthmore's Felix Laniyan and Muhlenberg's Mark Walter

Johns Hopkins has the most first-team selections (65) in the 27-year history of the Conference, followed by Gettysburg (52) and Muhlenberg (44). Franklin & Marshall (42) is next followed by Dickinson (32), Haverford (30), Swarthmore (15), McDaniel (12), Washington College (7) and Ursinus (4).
