Johns Hopkins graduate student Tim Treinen has been named a First Team All-American by D3soccer.com, announced on Apr. 6, 2023. It marks the second All-America honor for Treinen, who was selected as a Second Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches in November.

Treinen led the Blue Jays to a 15-1-8 record and the program's first trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals since 2006. The Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Treinen anchored one of the nation's stingiest defenses. JHU is tied for first in the nation with 16 shutouts and ranks third in goals against average (0.405). The 10 goals allowed are tied for fourth fewest in program history. In addition to surrendering just 10 goals in 24 games, the Blue Jay defense allowed just 6.6 shots per game. Treinen scored the first goal of his career this season, the game-winner in the NCAA First Round versus Lehman.
