LANCASTER, Pa. - Three Centennial Conference swimmers have been selected to participate in the 2017 NCAA Division III men's swimming championship on March 15-18 in Shenandoah, Texas.
Gettysburg junior Ty Dougherty qualified in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles, while teammate Ogden Leyens, the Centennial's Outstanding Rookie and Performer at last week's championship, qualified in the 200 freestyle. Dougherty is seeded seventh in the 50 (20.36) and 14th in the 100 (44.97). Leyens is seeded eighth in the 200 (1:38.95).
Swarthmore sophomore Jeff Tse qualified in the 100 backstroke. He is seeded 10th with a qualifying time of 49.35.
Garnet teammate Liam Fitzstevens is the fifth alternate for the championship with a 1:48.61 in the 200 backstroke.
