Three Centennial Athletes Selected to CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Teams

Three Centennial Conference student-athletes from two institutions were named to the Academic All-America At-Large Teams, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Johns Hopkins' Vishnu Joshi of men's tennis and Anjie Kashyap of women's tennis represented the Blue Jays on the Academic All-America squads, while Gettysburg's Kerry McKeever of women's lacrosse earned the national distinction for the Bullets. 

The Academic All-America At-Large Team consists of 14 different sports including golf, lacrosse, swimming, tennis, field hockey, and wrestling. 

Additionally, JHU's Mikayla Bisignani was honored as the Academic All-American of the Year on the Women's At-Large team. Bisignani received the prestigious honor as a member of the Hopkins swimming team, but was also a Centennial student-athlete as a member of the women's track & field team at JHU. 

Joshi, who earned first team accolades, collected his second straight Academic All-America honor as he was named to the third team in 2020. Joshi graduated in May with degrees in computer science and computer engineering and a 3.90 cumulative GPA. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in computer science and this fall will be a software development intern at Tesla. He is a three-time ITA All-American in singles and was named the 2021 Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Year. He also earned first team All-CC honors in singles and doubles this season.
 
Joshi is a three-time NCAA Singles Championship selection and advanced to the quarterfinals in 2021. He finished the season ranked fourth in the nation and first in the Atlantic South with a 12-1 record. In addition, he went 10-2 in doubles this season. Joshi ranks 15th in school history in career singles wins (44), 24th in doubles (41) and 18th in total wins (85). He led Hopkins to three CC Championships as well as three NCAA Tournaments, including the 2021 semifinals.
 
Kashyap, who collected second team honors, graduated from JHU in May with a 3.75 cumulative GPA and a degree in environmental science. She earned All-America honors this season and advanced to the second round of the 2021 NCAA Singles Championship. She finished her career ranked in the top-20 in career singles wins (37), doubles wins (42) and total wins (79). Kashyap is ranked 22nd in the nation in singles and 11th in the Atlantic South in doubles.
 
Kashyap was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019 as well as the CC Rookie of the Year in 2018. In addition, she was a three-time First Team All-CC selection in singles and a two-time selection in doubles. She led Hopkins to three CC titles as well as three NCAA Sweet 16s and a 42-15 record in three seasons.
 
Kashyap worked as a data analytics research at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health since August 2020, investigating vacant lot restoration on Baltimore adolescent health. She spent the last two summers as a research assistant at the Cleveland Clinic Learner Research Institute-Lathia Lab. In the July 2019, she worked as a Spanish-English translator for the Peru Health Outreach Project. Kashyap volunteered with JHU's CoVID-19 Vaccine Project at M&T Bank Stadium this spring. She volunteered with ACEing Autism all four years of her career and spent two years as a volunteer with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
 
McKeever, who was named to the second team, helped the Bullets claim the NCAA Division III title as a first-year in 2018 and she helped the team win back-to-back conference titles in 2018 and 2019. She was a three-time All-American, earning third-team honors from both the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) in 2019 and Inside Lacrosse in 2020 and gaining second-team national status from the IWLCA this past spring.

She was tagged CC Offensive Player of the Year, All-Metro Region First Team, and All-CC First Team this past spring. As a sophomore, she earned second-team all-conference and first-team all-region accolades, while also being named MVP of the CC Championship. Overall, McKeever tallied 191 points on 140 goals and 51 assists in 55 career games. McKeever helped Gettysburg post a four-year record of 49-6.
 
Off the field, the economics major and business minor was a member of Chi Omega sorority and worked in the athletics equipment room for four years. She studied abroad in Spain during the fall of her junior year. Following graduation, McKeever went to work as an analyst with Lockton Companies in Washington, D.C.
