COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- Johns Hopkins secured its ninth straight Centennial Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field title on Sunday at Floy Lewis Bakes Center on the campus of Ursinus. The Blue Jays compiled totaled 201.5 points throughout the two-day event, defeating second-place Ursinus (170.7) by 30.8 for the team crown. 

McDaniel finished third with 72.5 points, giving the Green Terror their best finish at the indoor meet since 1995. Haverford took fourth with 71.5 points, with Dickinson (66.2) rounding out the top five. 

Five championship meet records were broken over the weekend, including two by Dickinson's Christopher Scharf in the 5,000 meters (8:24.66) and 3,000 meters (14:22.79). Haverford's Jamie Moreland set a new meet mile standard at 4:11.47, while JHU's Justin Canedy tied the long jump mark (7.14m) and the Hopkins distance medley relay of Arthur Geyer, Ahmed Elmogi, Daniel Chen and Matthew Kleiman ran a meet-record 10:01.07. 

Scharf was one of three athletes to win multiple individuals events along with Canedy and Ursinus' Tyler Reilly. In addition to the long jump, Canedy also won the triple jump (14.81m). Reilly won the 200 (22.50) and 400 (50.17) for the Bears. 

Ursinus led the gold medal count with seven, followed by Hopkins (4), Dickinson (3), McDaniel (2) and Haverford, Muhlenberg and Swarthmore with one apiece. 

Reilly was just on top of the medal stand for Ursinus by Octavious Carter in the 60-meter dash (7.00), Brody Myers in the pole vault (4.54m), Isaiah Battle in the weight throw (16.60m), the 4x200 relay of Carter, Daniel Tabor, Collin Ney and Reilly (1:31.51) and the 4x400 relay of Reilly, Tabor, Ney and Payton Stanziani (3:25.73). 

JHU's other gold came from James Reilly in the hepthatlon (4,169). Dickinson's other gold was secured by Ethan Hart in the shot put (15.54m). 

McDaniel's Tyren Proctor won the 60 hurdles in 8.44 and Anders Madsen crossed first in the 800 meters (1:57.95). Other gold medalists included Muhlenberg's Ben Arehart in the high jump (1.98m) and the Swarthmore 4x800 relay of Ethan Rothenberg, Kendall Praitis Hill, Aidan Cantine, and Aiden Tomov (8:00.44).
