Six Centennial Conference men's indoor track & field athletes and one relay team will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend. Haverford's Jamie Moreland and Ryan Kredell, Johns Hopkins' Gavin McElhennon and Emmanuel Leblond, Dickinson's Ethan Hart, Swarthmore's Aidan Cantine and the JHU distance medley relay team will vie for podium spots at the national meet.

The championships will be held March 10-11 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala., with Birmingham-Southern College and the City of Birmingham serving as hosts.

For each men’s individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.

JHU's McElhennon and Haverford's Moreland are both repeat individual NCAA qualifiers. McElhennon competed in the 3000 last year while Moreland qualified in the mile in 2020 prior to the cancellation of the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreland is the top-seeded athlete heading into the weekend, ranked fifth in the mile. Swarthmore's Cantine is seeded seventh in the mile.

Haverford's Kredell is seeded seventh in the 5000 meters and will joined in that distance race by McElhennon (11th) and JHU's Leblond (19th). McElhennon will also compete in the 3000 (18th).

Dickinson's Hart was the lone field qualifier from the CC and is seeded 17th in the shot put. The JHU DMR team of Daniel Chen, Ahmed Elmogi, Arthur Beyer and Matthew Kleiman are seeded eighth.
