Hopkins Senior Max Robinson Named Runner of the Week

Max Robinson ran his fourth best-ever time in the men’s 8k race at the Christopher Newport Invitational, finishing in 25:00 to take the individual title. Robinson's time set the course record at the meet.


 

Notebook:

Muhlenberg sophomore Stephen Sroka finished 12th out of 281 runners at the Gettysburg Invitational, helping the Mules to a fourth-place finish. Running as the Mules' No. 2 for the first time, he was sixth among Division III runners.

Senior Stuart Russell paced the Garnet finishers at the Princeton Invitaional 8k championship race with a 25:39 mark; shedding 11 seconds from last year's time. 

Junior Jeff Horvath was the Bullets' top finisher at the Gettysburg Invitational, placing 36th out of 281 runners in a meet that included Division II, III, and unattached athletes. He ran a collegiate-best time of 27:10 for the 8,000-meter course.

Haverford senior Christopher Stadler posted a 9th-place finish, the top placing of all D-III runners, Saturday at the Princeton Invitational. His top-10 time of 24:01 helped lead the Fords to a 10th-place finish in the team standings, the best finish of the D-III teams in the Invitational’s championship race. 

Ursinus sophomore Vincent Flood ran the school's fourth fastest men's time on Saturday as the Bears finished 16th at the Gettysburg Invitational. Flood crossed the line at 26:53.5 to finish 27th overall.

Senior Omar Hyjek led the #10-ranked Red Devil men to the team title at the Gettysburg Invitational. Hyjek placed fourth overall and second among collegiate runners, clocking a time of 26:12.

Max Robinson, Sr, Johns Hopkins

Robinson was the top finisher from the Centennial Conference at the Paul Short Run over the weekend. The senior finished with a career-best 8K time (24:54) in the men's "Gold" race and was the third Division III finisher at the event.

Christopher Stadler, Sr, Haverford

Stadler finished 4th at Main Line Invitational and was the first Ford across the finish at the Main Line trailing only a trio of Villanova runner, two of whom are D-I All-Americans and the third, the Invite's winner, the Australian Jr. Cross Country champion.

Luke Munyan, Jr, Muhlenberg

Munyan (left) finished in first place at the Cedar Crest/Muhlenberg Invitational for the first win of his collegiate career. He was only the third Muhlenberg runner, and the first since 2003, to come in first in the 21-year history of the meet. He led a 1-2-3 Muhlenberg finish as the Mules breezed to the team title by 54 points over Ursinus.

Bryan Andrews, Jr, Franklin & Marshall

Bryan Andrews led the way with a second place finish in 27:14.79 on the 8k course hosted by York College. Andrews finish helped F&M when the team title for the second straight year at the Rich Achtzehn Classic.

Ryan Steinbock, Sr, Dickinson

Steinbock ran to his second straight individual title, claiming the top spot at the Little Three Championship on Friday. Steinbock became the 14th consecutive Red Devil to win the individual title, leading the Dickinson men to a remarkable 17th straight team championship.

 Steinbock ran to the individual title at the Misericordia Invitational on Friday evening with a time of 16:05. He led Dickinson to the team title as the Red Devils claimed the top 10 spots in the race.
