Hopkins Senior Max Robinson Named Runner of the Week

Robinson was the top finisher from the Centennial Conference at the Paul Short Run over the weekend. The senior finished with a career-best 8K time (24:54) in the men's "Gold" race and was the third Division III finisher at the event.  


 

Notebook:

Dickinson junior Nick Stender led the #8-ranked Red Devils to a strong showing in the Collegiate Gold Race at the Paul Short Invitational. He finished in the top 100 of the predominantly DI field. The Red Devils were the DIII team to finish, coming in behind #9-Williams, but holding off #3-ranked Haverford

Junior Jeff Horvath was Gettysburg's top finisher at the Paul Short Run, placing 184th out of 372 Division I, II, and III runners in the "Brown" race. He was timed at 27:49 for the 8,000-meter course.

McDaniel sophomore Chris Jones finished 16th in the White Race at the Paul Short Run. Jones turned in McDaniel's sixth-best time on the 8,000-meter course. His time of 27:15 has only been bettered by four other Green Terror men on the course and is the best time since 2009 in the sophomore's first 8K of the season.

Junior Luke Munyan came in 15th in a field of 324 to lead Muhlenberg to the team title in "white" race at the Paul Short Run. The Mules outscored Juniata by 10 points for their second straight first-place finish - something they hadn't done since 1997.

In the Paul Short Brown Race, sophomore Mike McConville paced the 8k course in 26:12 to place 36th overall and 16th among Division II-III participants to lead the Garnet to a team finish of ninth.

The Bears were led by sophomore Vincent Flood who finished 140th with a time of 29:38 at the Paul Short Invitational.

Christopher Stadler, Sr, Haverford

Stadler finished 4th at Main Line Invitational and was the first Ford across the finish at the Main Line trailing only a trio of Villanova runner, two of whom are D-I All-Americans and the third, the Invite's winner, the Australian Jr. Cross Country champion.

Luke Munyan, Jr, Muhlenberg

Munyan (left) finished in first place at the Cedar Crest/Muhlenberg Invitational for the first win of his collegiate career. He was only the third Muhlenberg runner, and the first since 2003, to come in first in the 21-year history of the meet. He led a 1-2-3 Muhlenberg finish as the Mules breezed to the team title by 54 points over Ursinus.

Bryan Andrews, Jr, Franklin & Marshall

Bryan Andrews led the way with a second place finish in 27:14.79 on the 8k course hosted by York College. Andrews finish helped F&M when the team title for the second straight year at the Rich Achtzehn Classic.

Ryan Steinbock, Sr, Dickinson

Steinbock ran to his second straight individual title, claiming the top spot at the Little Three Championship on Friday. Steinbock became the 14th consecutive Red Devil to win the individual title, leading the Dickinson men to a remarkable 17th straight team championship.

 Steinbock ran to the individual title at the Misericordia Invitational on Friday evening with a time of 16:05. He led Dickinson to the team title as the Red Devils claimed the top 10 spots in the race.
