WESTMINSTER, MD - Over a half a century ago, the men's cross country team at Johns Hopkins won its last conference title, back when the Jays ran for the Mason Dixon Conference crown. Today, the Blue Jays brought the title "Conference Champions" back to Baltimore winning the Centennial Championship meet with 34 points. No. 32 Hopkins had five runners finish in the top ten, and outran No. 8 Dickinson (39 points) and No. 12 Haverford (61 points) at the McDaniel College course to earn their first ever Centennial Conference title.

Max Robinson was the top Blue Jay again for the sixth time this season, running near the front of the pack the entire race and finishing third with a time of 26:01. However, it was the depth of the Hopkins team that won the meet today, as Schaffer Ochstein finished fifth (26:03), Austin Stecklair finished seventh (26:16) and Julian Salianai took ninth (26:19). Van Allen was adamant on how important teamwork was throughout the race, and the final push by the Hopkins pack ended up being the difference.

Arnold's tenth place finish (26:23) earned him Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year honors as the top freshman runner at the meet. His finish along with Ryan Alvarez's 11th place time (26:25) were crucial in giving Hopkins the five point edge over Dickinson to ensure the victory.

Haverford's Chris Stadler was the individual champion, finishing the 8k race in a time of 25:42.
