Pangallozzi, Blue Jays Earn Top-Five Finishes at Nationals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Johns Hopkins placed fifth in the team standings and junior Jared Pangallozzi took fourth individually to highlight Centennial Conference performances at the 2019 NCAA Men's Cross Country Championships. Haverford placed 27th in the 32-team field while Muhlenberg's Jason Richwall placed 156th in the individual ranks. 

Led by Pangallozzi's fourth-place finish, the Blue Jays claimed fifth place with 208 points. Pomona-Pitzer won the team crown with 164 points, followed by North Central (Ill.), Williams, Washington University and JHU in the top five. 

Pangallozzi clocked in at 24:31.7 for his highest-ever finish at the national meet. Johns Hopkins placed three more runners in the top-70. Declan Hines finished 43rd, Conner Delahanty took 63rd, Sean Laidlaw grabbed 67th and Patrick Dye rounded out the top five in 81st place. 

Haverford placed 27th, led by freshman Ryan Kredell in 45th place with a personal-best time of 25:01.1. 

Muhlenberg's Richwall, competing as an individual, crossed in 25:49.4 to place 156th.
