                         Dickinson's Chelsea Homa

 

Dickinson 1-6, Swarthmore 0-3
The Dickinson College softball team claimed a pair of Centennial Conference win at Swarthmore on Saturday, posting a 1-0 shutout in game one and winning the nightcap, 6-3.  Sophomore Chelsea Homa (Newton, N.J./Newton) earned wins in both halves of the double-header, tossing a pair of complete games and recording 22 strikeouts on the day.

 

Franklin & Marshall 1-5, Haverford 2-0

 delivered the game-winning RBI in the ninth inning as the Haverford College softball team outlasted visiting Franklin & Marshall, 2-1, in extra innings of Game 1 of a Centennial Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Fords fell to the Diplomats, 5-0, in Game 2.  Haverford (15-12-1, 2-8 CC) and F&M (12-15-1, 4-6) engaged in a defensive battle from the onset of the contest as both squads managed just one hit apiece through the first three innings of Game 1.

 

Gettysburg 2-7, Washington College 9-3
Host Washington College and visiting Gettysburg split a Centennial Conference softball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Washington College Softball Field.  The Shorewomen won game one by a 9-2 score, while the Bullets captured game two, 7-3.  Washington is now 16-15 overall and 8-4 in the conference, while Gettysburg is now 15-12 and 7-3 respectively.

 

McDaniel 2-1, Ursinus 1-2
McDaniel and Ursinus split a Centennial Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, with each team winning by a 2-1 score.  In the first game, McDaniel scored twice in the seventh to take the while, while the Bears (13-12, 3-5 Centennial) scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to take the 2-1 win over the Green Terror (18-8, 10-2 Centennial).
