Gutpelet had a great start to her collegiate career, going 4-for-7 in a split at Hood College. She led the Red Devils to a 4-2 win in the opener, going 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored. She singled and scored in the nightcap, and stole three bases on the day, swiping third, twice in game one.
