First-Round Playoff Preview

Kristy George, Ursinus; Dominique Meeks, Haverford

Ursinus at Haverford
It's a former champion against a first-time participant as the Centennial Conference tournament begins tonight. The Bears (13-12) won the 1995 and 2007 titles, while the Fords (17-8) are making their inaugural trip into the CC playoff waters. The series has been one-sided in favor of Ursinus, 49-5, but Haverford split the season series this winter, winning at home by a 47-42 count but losing in Collegeville, 65-52. A pair of All-Centennial selections will square off in the middle - the Bears' Lindsay Teuber (14.8 ppg, 10.4 rpg) who was named to the first team and the Fords' Dominique Meeks (12.6 ppg), a second-team choice.
