Swarthmore Advances to ECAC Championship

Swarthmore 78, Washington & Jefferson 63

Junior Katie Lytle scored a team-high 21 points and sophomore Elle Larsen added 18 points, as the No. 2 seed Swarthmore College women's basketball team used a dominant second-half to defeat No.3 seed Washington & Jefferson by a score of 78-63 on Saturday in the ECAC South Region Semifinals from Moravian College. With the victory, the Garnet (22-7) advances to the ECAC South Region Championship Game to face the winner of No. 1 seed Moravian and No. 4 seed Juniata. The championship game will tip at 1 p.m. on Sunday from Moravian. Swarthmore is in the ECAC title game for the first time since 2003 and is seeking its first-ever ECAC Championship.
