The field for the 2023 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Championship is now set following Saturday's regular season finales.

The Centennial tournament will feature a new look this winter. For the first time ever, six teams will compete in the postseason as the conference has expanded its number of playoff participants from five to six. Also, the higher seed will host each round of the tournament and there is now a day off between the semifinals and championship.

Entering Saturday's action, three of the six seeds were already locked in - No. 3 Dickinson, No. 4 Haverford and No. 5 Muhlenberg. Johns Hopkins clinched the top seed with a 62-41 road win at Ursinus, giving the Blue Jays (20-5, 17-3 CC) the top seed for the first time since 2012. JHU's victory secured the No. 2 seed for defending champion Gettysburg (19-6, 16-4 CC). The Blue Jays and Bullets each earned first round byes and will host the two semifinal matchups on Friday.

Gettysburg closed out the regular season with a 61-43 triumph over Swarthmore, knocking the Garnet out of playoff contention. The Swarthmore loss clinched the sixth and final playoff spot for Washington College (13-12, 9-11 CC), which earns a postseason berth despite a 61-51 loss at Muhlenberg on Saturday. The Shorewomen will travel to No. 3 Dickinson (17-7, 15-5 CC) for Tuesday's quarterfinal round. The Red Devils concluded the regular season with a 69-19 win vs. Bryn Mawr on Saturday.

Tuesday's other quarterfinal was already set entering Saturday and will feature No. 5 Muhlenberg (13-12, 12-8 CC) at No. 4 Haverford (15-9, 13-7 CC). The Mules return to the CC postseason for the first time since 2019.
