SELINSGROVE, Pa.  –
Junior Samantha Sessa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) won her third consecutive event and three of her teammates posted personal lows as Gettysburg College once again reset the Centennial Conference scoring record Sunday at the Susquehanna Spring Invitational.

Gettysburg had bested its own program and conference scoring mark three times during the fall slate and after finishing just five strokes shy with a 325 at its own invitational Saturday, the Bullets ran away with the record by shooting 317 on Sunday. The squad easily won its 10th competition of the season by 80 strokes over Manhattanville.

Sessa shaved one stroke off her season low by carding a six-over 76 at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. It was her 13th career victory, leaving her just four shy of the program record held by Kara McNulty '14. The round also extended her Gettysburg record for career rounds in the 70s to 12.

Sessa edged senior teammate Sarah Hansen (Cumberland, Maine/Greely) by one stroke for the top position. Hansen bested her collegiate low by one stroke and recorded her fifth career round in the 70s. It was her 10th top-five finish of the season.

Freshman Hannah Fireman (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) tied her season low with an 81 to grab third. It was the first-year's seventh top-five finish in single round events this year.

Sophomore Gillian Marini (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) clinched the top-four sweep for Gettysburg by tying her personal best with an 83. The fourth-place showing was the best of Marini's career.

Freshman Erin Schroeder (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) rounded out the starting five by placing 12th with a score of 99.
