LANCASTER, Pa. -- Gettysburg's Jordan Basso and Carol Cantele, Franklin & Marshall's Emily Kitchin and Lydia Cassilly, and Haverford's Roma Hladky collected top awards to lead the 2022 All-Centennial Women's Lacrosse Team.
In voting among conference head coaches, Player of the Year honors were awarded to Basso (Attacker of the Year), Hladky (Midfielder of the Year) and Kitchin (Defensive Player of the Year). Cassilly earned Rookie of the Year accolades for F&M, becoming the third Diplomat to collect the award. Cantele was tabbed as Coach of the Year the for the CC-leading third time since the award was instituted in 2009. In her final season at the helm of the Bullets, Cantele led her squad to the regular season and tournament titles.
A total of 14 players on the 2022 squad have now earned all-conference recognition multiple times in their careers. Kitchin, a senior goalkeeper for F&M, headlines that list as a three-time first team pick. F&M's Ally Marino and McDaniel's Kealey Allison are also now three-time all-stars, with both being repeat first team selections from 2021.
Other repeat All-CC performers from 2021 include Gettysburg's Basso, Katie Fullowan, Caroline Sullivan and Nora Janzer, F&M's Marissa McGarrey, Mary Pat McKenna and Erin Phillips, Washington College's Colleen Keefe, Ellie Morrall and Abby Laubach, and McDaniel's Emma Miller.
Historically, Gettysburg (80) and Franklin & Marshall (80) lead the Conference in first-team All-Centennial selections, followed by Ursinus (34), Washington College (30), Dickinson (25), Swarthmore (24), Haverford (23), McDaniel (20), Muhlenberg (13) and Bryn Mawr (1).
