Basso Repeats as Women's Lacrosse Attacker of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Gettysburg's Jordan Basso repeated as Attacker of the Year while teammates Lily Macatee and Julia Daly, Haverford's Tiffany Mikulis, and the Ursinus coaching staff also garnered major awards on. the 2023 All-Centennial Women's Lacrosse Team. 

Basso earned back-to-back Attacker of the Year accolades, becoming just the fourth player in conference history to receive a player of the year award multiple times. Basso leads the CC in points (99), goals (64) and ranks second in assists (35) through the regular season and CC postseason.

Mikulis was honored as Midfielder of the Year, becoming the second straight Ford to receive that honor. Mikulis is second in the conference in goals scored (63) and fifth in points (74) and draw controls (91). 

Macatee was named Defensive Player of the Year to become the first Bullet to receive the award in its nine-year history. Macatee ranks second in the CC in draw controls (103) while also causing 18 turnovers on the year. Macatee and the Bullets' defense have allowed a conference-best 7.4 goals per game this season. 

Daly, a freshman attacker for Gettysburg, secured Rookie of the Year accolades and also landed on the Honorable Mention team. Daly has tallied 44 goals and 11 assists so far this season for the Bullets. 

Fifteen players collected repeat All-Centennial accolades this spring, including five who are now three-time all-stars. Gettysburg's Katie Fullowan and Caroline Sullivan became three-time first-team selections while Basso, Washington College's Ellie Morrall and McDaniel's Emma Miller also garnered all-conference recognition for the third time in their careers. 

Historically, Gettysburg (84) and Franklin & Marshall (84) lead the Conference in first-team All-Centennial selections, followed by Ursinus (35), Washington College (31), Haverford (26), Dickinson (25), Swarthmore (24), McDaniel (20), Muhlenberg (14) and Bryn Mawr (2).
