OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Paulina Goodman, Johns Hopkins (Sr, F, Van Nuys, Calif. / Van Nuys)

Goodman have three goals and assist in the Blue Jays 2-0 week. In Hopkins' win over Gettysburg to clinch the regular season title, Goodman netted her first career hat trick that led the Blue Jays to a 6-1 victory over the Bullets. Earlier in the week, the senior forward added an assist in the 8-0 win over McDaniel.

 
 







DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Ari Spiegel, Swarthmore (Jr, D, Virginia Beach, Va. / Norfolk Academy)

Spiegel anchored a Garnet backline that surrendered just one goal in two wins on the week.

 
 
 

 

CENTENNIAL NOTEBOOK

The tournament field is set for this week's Centennial Conference Women's Soccer championship.  Hopkins earned the top seed and will host this weekend, while Gettysburg earns the No. 2 spot and will take on No. 3-seeded Swarthmore is the second semifinal on Saturday.  Haverford nabs the fourth spot in the tourney and will host the first round, taking Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday.

 

Gettysburg's No. 2 seed is its highest in the conference tournament since 2006.  The Bullets have won five conference titles, the last in 2004. 

 

Hopkins tied a program-high 77 goals for a season set last year with its six goals on Sunday and for the second time in program history, the Blue Jays have gone undefeated during the regular season.
