Dickinson to Host Women's Soccer Championship

Championship Central

For the first time since 2010, the Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Championship will run through Carlisle, Pa. as Dickinson has earned the top seed and the right to host the Final Four next weekend at Miller Memorial Field.

The Red Devils closed out a stellar regular season on Saturday with a 2-0 shutout win at Gettysburg. Dickinson had already locked up the top seed entering Saturday's contest, but the game was not without playoff implications as the Bullets were vying for the No. 2 seed. However, the loss dropped the Bullets to the No. 4 seed in the upcoming conference playoffs.

As the No. 4 seed, Gettysburg will host fifth-seeded McDaniel in Wednesday's first round game. The winner will then take on Dickinson in Saturday's semifinals.

The other semifinal will feature second-seeded Johns Hopkins and third-seeded Haverford. The Blue Jays secured the No. 2 seed with a 3-1 win over Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, while Haverford fell to the No. 3 seed following a 3-1 loss to Swarthmore.
