AUSTIN, TX – Just two days after helping the Johns Hopkins women's soccer team to the first national championship in program history, graduate student defender Kendall Dandridge added another impressive listing to her growing resume as she has been named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-America Division III Women's Soccer First Team it was announced today.

Dandridge becomes the 19th Academic All-American in Johns Hopkins women's soccer history and the seventh first team selection.  This is the seventh consecutive year that the Blue Jay women's soccer team has produced at least one Academic All-American.

Dandridge graduated last spring with a 3.67 cumulative grade point average with a degree in business administration, information systems and marketing; she is currently pursuing a master's degree in marketing analytics at Johns Hopkins' Carey Business School.

After playing four seasons at Fordham, Dandridge played her final year at Johns Hopkins in 2022 and promptly anchored a Blue Jay defense that allowed just 11 goals in 25 games and tied the JHU single-season record with 17 shutouts.  She started all 25 games and scored four goals and added nine assists for 17 points with two of her goals proving to be game winners.  She was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2022 Centennial Conference Tournament after guiding the Blue Jays to a pair of shutout victories in the tournament.

In addition to her exploits on the field, Dandridge served as the co-chair of Fordham's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion representation sub-committee and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  She was also an active volunteer with the Best Buddies program working with children with special needs and at a local preschool where she also worked with children.
