Marshall went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles as the shorewomen won their first two matches of the season.

AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Bryn Mawr women’s tennis opened their spring season last Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Fla. Despite dropping their season-opener 3-6 to Misericordia, the No. 1 tandem of Eliza Perocchi (Fr, North Andover, Mass. / Brooks School) and Vivian Chen (Fr, Holmdel, N.J. / Holmdel) defeated Michelle Cameron and Breanne Phillips 8-6.

Head coach Ann Koger and the Haverford women’s tennis team recorded its 300th career win this past week, overcoming Meredith College, 6-3. Koger becomes just the second coach in Centennial Conference history to win 300 matches.

Visiting Washington College posted its second straight 9-0 shutout as the Shorewomen defeated Guilford in a non-conference women’s tennis match Monday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C. Jordan Finnegan (Jr, Wilmington, Del. / Archmere Academy) and Brittany Marshall (Jr, Dagsboro, Del. / Worcester Prep), ranked eighth in the Atlantic South region in doubles, blanked Guilford’s No. 1, 8-0. Finnegan also won at the top spot in singles by a 6-1, 6-0, final over Mackey Wesner.
