Gallagher remained perfect in singles play this spring with a 2-0 week. First, the sophomore rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Muhlenberg at top-flight singles and then she capped the week with another straight set victory against Dickinson. Gallagher, boasting a 13-0 record in singles action in 2013 also moved up to No. 14 last week in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings of singles players in the Atlantic South Region.

Johns Hopkins sophomore Stephanie Rettig (New York, N.Y./Professional Children’s School) went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles in helping Johns Hopkins to wins at home versus 27th-ranked Mary Washington (7-2) and on the road at Washington College (9-0). Rettig partnered with junior Abby Clark against the Eagles for an 8-6 win at second doubles. She then lost just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 win at fourth singles. Later in the day, Rettig paired with classmate Kaitlin Pfisterer for an 8-2 win at first doubles. In singles play, she again lost just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 win at first.
Dickinson junior Shannon Lavery (Huntington, W. Va./Huntington) earned four points in a pair of wins to lead the Red Devils to their fifth straight conference win. Lavery claimed points in the top doubles flights with a pair of 8-3 decisions and at #2-singles as the Devils improved to 6-1 in the CC.
Swarthmore senior Emily Rosenblum (Berwyn, Pa./Friends Central) finished the week 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles play. Against Ursinus, Rosenblum won at No. 1 singles (6-0, 6-2) and No. 2 doubles with Lia Carlson (8-2). Against F&M, she won at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-1) and at No. 1 doubles again with Carlson (8-2). With the help of Rosenblum, Swat (9-2, 6-0) has won six straight matches.
Franklin & Marshall senior Julia Fiala (Rye, N.Y. / Rye) registered straight-set singles wins and picked up a pair of doubles victories as well in Franklin & Marshall's wins over McDaniel (9-0) and Lebanon Valley (5-0) last week.
The Mules' No. 1 doubles team of Nina Sanders (Randolph. N.J./Randolph) and Emily Szulman (Port Washington, N.Y./ Paul D. Schreiber) had a 3-0 week, defeating the No. 1 doubles teams from two regionally ranked opponents (Haverford and Elizabethtown).
Gettysburg senior Kelsey Boyce (Arrowsic, ME/Morse) won all six of her matches last week. Boyce bounced back from an opening-set loss to pick up a 1-6, 6-4, 10-4 decision at sixth singles against Dickinson. She also posted straight-set wins at fifth singles against McDaniel and Ursinus. Boyce also won all three doubles contests with one win at No. 2 and two wins at No. 3.
Ursinus senior Caroline Lippe (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) went 2-0 this week with wins at number five flight and number six flight singles. Defeated Bev Keyes, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 in the Gettysburg match and defeated Brooke Wilkins, 6-4, 6-3 in the Swarthmore match.
