LANCASTER, Pa. -- Johns Hopkins' Anjali Devireddy repeated as Player of the Year, Swarthmore's Nathalie Williams earned Rookie of the Year and JHU head coach Dan Pollock was named Coach of the Year to lead the 2022 All-Centennial Women's Tennis Team.
Devireddy collected Player of the Year honors after going 5-0 at No. 1 singles and 6-1 at No. 1 doubles in conference play, winning all of her singles matches in straight sets. This marks the fourth-straight season that a Hopkins player has received the conference's top honor as Player of the Year, and the seventh time overall. Devireddy is the seventh player in CC history to receive the award multiple times.
Williams collected Rookie of the Year accolades after posting unbeaten singles and doubles record in CC competition. Williams went 6-0 in singles play, primarily from the No. 2 spot, and 7-0 in doubles, mostly from the No. 1 position. She is the third Swarthmore player to receive ROTY in the nine-year history of the award.
Pollock was chosen by his peers as Coach of the Year in his inaugural season at the helm of the JHU program. Pollock led the Blue Jays to the top seed in the CC postseason and their 15th straight Centennial title.
Devireddy, a first-teamer in both singles and doubles in 2021, was one of nine repeat all-stars on the team. Franklin & Marshall's Cassidy Landau also repeated as both a singles and doubles all-star. Swarthmore's Sonia Varma, Dickinson's Martine Fierro, Washington College's Irene Meng and Alisha White, Johns Hopkins' Jessica Liang, Ursinus' Maddie Russell, and F&M's Sammi Perry also became multi-time All-Centennial selections.
