LANCASTER, Pa. -- Four athletes earned weekly honors for at least the second time this spring as Centennial weekly awards were presented in baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis and track & field. This marks the final tennis weekly honors of 2023 as the CC tennis postseason commences this week. One more regular season week remains in baseball, softball, lacrosse and track & field.
This week's repeat winners include Michael Melnikov of Swarthmore men's tennis (three-time winner), Abby Marquis of Haverford softball, Von Mabbs of Swarthmore men's lacrosse, and Ethan Hart of Dickinson men's track & field.
Other honorees for the week of Apr. 17-23 were Aidan Sullivan of Swarthmore baseball, Riley Grohowski of Haverford baseball, Ainsley McClure of Franklin & Marshall softball, Chris Brandau of Dickinson men's lacrosse, Katie Fullowan of Gettysburg women's lacrosse, Meaghan Haughney of Muhlenberg women's lacrosse, Cassidy Landau of F&M women's tennis, Aidan Cantine of Swarthmore men's track & field, Rose Teszler of Swarthmore women's track & field, and Abby Lienhard of F&M women's track & field.

BASEBALL
Player of the Week
Aidan Sullivan, Fr., DH, Swarthmore
Rye, N.Y. | Canterbury
Sullivan hit .706 (12-for-17) with four home runs, two triples, a double, 11 RBIs and eight runs scored in a 2-1-1 week for the Garnet. The first-year posted a slugging percentage of 1.706 throughout the four games. Sullivan began his week with a 4-for-4 performance with 5 RBIs against Ursinus College. He finished a double shy of the cycle with a home run, two triples and a single. Sullivan then closed out the series with Ursinus with a two-home run effort and four more RBIs in the series finale. He then capped off an incredible week with another 4-for-4 performance versus McDaniel.
SOFTBALL
Player of the Week
Abby Marquis, Sr., C/3B, Haverford
Albuquerque, N.M. | Cibola
Marquis earned Player of the Week for the second time this spring after slashing .583/.667/1.250 in another stellar week as the Division III National Player of the Year Watchlist member extended her CC leads in RBIs (42) and home runs (9). Marquis hit another pair of round-trippers on Saturday against F&M as part of a five-hit day that also included a pair of doubles and six total RBIs. She has also tied the Haverford program record for homers in a single season.

Katie Fullowan, Sr., M, Gettysburg

Fullowan led the Bullets to a 2-0 week to officially clinch one of the top two seeds in the conference tournament, registering six goals and two assists on the week. Her six goals came on just 13 shots. She tallied three goals and one assist in the 14-5 win at 10th-ranked Franklin & Marshall before adding the same in a 20-5 win over Ursinus. She also had four draw controls and four ground balls on the week.

Athlete of the Week
Michael Melnikov, Fr., Swarthmore
Karlsruhe, Germany
Melnikov earned his third weekly honor of 2023 after going 2-0 at No. 1 doubles and 1-0 and No. 1 singles last week as the Garnet locked up the top seed in the Centennial Conference tournament. Melnikov's singles win was a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Washington College's Karl Hoegstedt, who is ranked eighth in the Atlantic South region. With the victory, Melnikov set a program record for singles victories (18) by a freshman. He also paired with Utham Koduri for victories in No. 1 doubles over Washington College and Franklin & Marshall.
