Stranick Named to All-CC Volleyball Team

LANCASTER, Pa.  – Freshman Allie Stranick (Havertown, Pa./Merion Mercy) was named to the All-Centennial Conference Volleyball Team it was announced on Monday, Nov. 6.
 
Stranick was named honorable mention as Gettysburg's top hitter. She led the team and finished third in the conference with 3.36 kills per set, which was the best average by a Bullet first-year since Catherine Schott '00 hit 4.2 kills per set in 1996. Stranick notched double-figure kills in each of her first six collegiate matches and she finished with 14 such efforts this fall.
 
A multi-faceted player, Stranick also finished among the team leaders with 3.19 digs per set and accumulated 11 double-double efforts. She logged a season-high 18 kills with 19 digs against Bethany (W.Va.) College and she totaled 16 kills and a season-high 22 digs against Franklin & Marshall College. The Gettysburg freshman also contributed 30 service aces and 27 total blocks.
 
Senior libero Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was named to the CC All-Sportsmanship Team for the second year in a row. Gilbert led the team with 4.69 digs per set and she finished sixth in program history with 1,403 digs.
 
Gettysburg posted its first 20-win season in 11 years with a record of 20-8. The team went 5-5 in conference play.
