In the first year of the new regional format that split Centennial Conference teams into two different regions, the CC displayed its strength as it came away with the team and individual titles at both the NCAA Metro and Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Saturday. 

Haverford's Izzy Miller and the Fords captured titles at the Metro Regional, while Dickinson's Isabel Cardi and Johns Hopkins took home championships at the Mid-Atlantic Regional. 

In total, the CC claimed two team titles, two individual titles and 28 all-region awards across the two regional meets. 


LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Haverford won its first-ever regional team title and Izzy Miller became the third runner in Haverford history to win the individual crown to lead Centennial squads at the NCAA Metro Regional Championship at Gloucester County DREAM Park. 

The Fords totaled 88 points to defeat second-place Swarthmore (102) by 14 for the team title. Miller crossed the finish line of the 6k course in 21:24.1, edging out teammate Angelina Petrichenko (21:29.0) for gold. Miller joins Jennifer Maranzano (1993) and Meredith Unger (1996) as previous regional champions from Haverford during the Fords' time as members of the Centennial. Griffin Kaulbach (7th; 22:32.5) also posted a top-10 finish to claim all-region status for the Fords. 

Runner-up Swarthmore was led by top-10 placings from Nora Blodgett (5th; 22:26.5) and Rose Teszler (10th; 22:43.2), while Emma Novak (23rd), Catherine Crochunis-Brown (30th) and Alina Irvine (34th) also nabbed top-35 placings to receive all-region awards for the Garnet. 

Muhlenberg and Ursinus finished back-to-back in the team standings in seventh and eighth place, respectively, while Bryn Mawr took 14th in the 24-team field. 

Abigail Dalton (3rd; 21:51.0) and Marielle Avola (8th; 22:35.8) paced the Mules, Rachel Conhoff (6th; 22:30.6) and Holly Chambers (28th) led the way for Ursinus, and Izzy Ravaglia (31st) took home all-region honors for Bryn Mawr. 


NEWVILLE, Pa. -- At the Mid-Atlantic Regional at Big Spring High School, Dickinson's Isabel Cardi and Johns Hopkins both repeated as champions to lead a group of five Centennial teams. 

Cardi repeated as individual champion, finishing the 6k course with a time of 22:13.0 to claim gold by over 43 seconds. With the win, Cardi becomes the fourth Centennial runner to win multiple regional titles in their career, and the second Red Devil to accomplish that feat (Callie Bradley, 2002-03). 

Hopkins once again put together a dominant team performance at regionals, winning its 13th conseuctive regional crown after securing spots 2-3-4-5-6 to total just 20 points and defeat second-place Dickinson (88) by 68 points. Alex Ross (22:56.2), Katharine Priu (23:01.1), Ashley Heidenrich (23:09.9), Sara Stephenson (23:12.8) and Sydney Fridel (23:13.0) finished second through sixth, respectively, to post scoring positions for JHU. Also securing all-region accolades for the Blue Jays were Lina Spjut (11th) and Aishanee Wijeratna (12th). 

Led by Cardi, Dickinson secured six spots in the top-35 en route to a runner-up finish in the team standings. Allyson Yanega (13th), Madison Garber (17th), Myra Naqvi (26th), and Sammy Jo Barnes (31st) contributed to the Red Devil team score, while Lilianna Matala nabbed the final all-region spot with a 35th-place finish. 

Franklin & Marshall placed eighth in the 31-team field with 246 points, followed by Gettysburg (14th; 380) and McDaniel (27th; 746). 

F&M's Alexis Salerno (24th) and Elizabeth O'Connell (27th) earned all-region honors for the Diplomats.
