LANCASTER, Pa. -- Dickinson's Isabel Cardi repeated as Runner of the Year to lead the 2021 All-Centennial Conference Women's Cross Country Team. Johns Hopkins picked up the other major awards as Ashley Heidenrich earned Rookie of the Year and Bobby Van Allen was named Coach of the Year.
Cardi claimed the individual title for the second straight season to nab CC Runner of the Year honors, becoming the seventh runner in Centennial history to win multiple individual crowns, and the fourth Red Devil to accomplish that feat. Cardi's Runner of the Year award also marks the 10th overall for Dickinson, the most among any team in the conference.
Heidenrich placed third and was the top newcomer at the event. The JHU standout continued the Blue Jays' ownernship over Rookie of the Year, as they have now claimed the honor in each of its nine years of existence. Her third-place finish also secured a place on the all-conference first team.
Van Allen was unanimously selected by his peers as Coach of the Year. The JHU head coach collects the honor for the CC-record ninth time, and sixth time in the last seven years.
Hopkins grabbed four of the seven positions on the all-conference first team and five on the second team to lead all teams in honorees. Joining Heidenrich on the first team were Alex Ross, Paloma Hancock, and Lina Spjut, each earning all-star nods for the first time. Second-teamers for the Blue Jays included Sara Stephenson, Aishanee Wijeratna, Diana Vizza, Sydney Fridel, and Katharine Priu. Priu was the lone repeat All-CC performer among the group, having also earned second team honors along with Rookie of the Year back in 2019.
Haverford's Izzy Miller finished as the runner-up to secure first-team accolades, while Dickinson's Elaina Clancy notched the final first team spot with a seventh-place finish for the Red Devils.
Haverford's Angelina Petrichenko and Swarthmore's Nora Blodgett joined the Hopkins quintet on the second team.
