2015 Outlook

Moravian posted its best season since 2010 last fall and looks for even bigger things with the return of 18 starters ... the offense racked up its most yardage in a season since 2004 and might be even more explosive this season ... the defense made strides last season and may be the key to a successful 2015 for the 'Hounds. Preseason Prediction: 4th

 

Head Coach Jeff Pukszyn

Pukszyn (Moravian ’97) enters his fifth season with a 11-29 record … he was named head coach of the Greyhounds on July 1 after 10 years as assistant head coach … Puksyzn joined the Moravian staff full-time in 1999 … he is the 12th head coach at Moravian since 1930 and just the fourth since 1955.

Moravian's defense looks to continue its improvement with the return of six starters ... DB Jimmy McCarthy was named first-team All-CC after leading the league with five picks ... Anthony Orlando, a honorable mention All-CC pick, and Noah Miller give the 'Hounds an experienced secondary ... John Snyder and Ryan Pysher anchor the front four, while Brendan Downey and Chernoh Shaw lead the LB corps.

Rocco Calvo Field

The Rocco Calvo Field was renovated in 2005. The old playing surface was replaced with a synthetic surface produce by Sportexe. Sportexe Momentum™ is designed to be dense, firm, fast -- a superior surface to handle the demands of top level athletics.  There were also renovations to the structure of the grandstand with new seating added on both the home and visitor sides of the field.
