COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus secured its 12th overall Centennial Conference Wrestling Championship and first since 2014 on Saturday in Collegeville. The host Bears tallied 84 points en route to the team victory. The 12 titles leads the CC all-time list and is seven more than the next-closest team (5 titles from former associate member Stevens).

McDaniel took second place with 73.5 points, giving the Green Terror their best finish since 2006. Merchant Marine finished third with 64.5 points, followed by Muhlenberg (55), Gettysburg (47.5) and Johns Hopkins (27.5).

Gettysburg's Luke Kowalski was selected as the championship's Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning the 133-pound title in impressive fashion. After receiving a first-round bye, Kowalski pinned both his semifinal and title bout opponents, totaling less than two minutes (1:48) of time on the mat. In the semis, Kowalski pinned Ursinus' Jagger Clapsadle in 42 seconds before pinning defending 133 champion Brent Lorin of Johns Hopkins in 1:06 in the final. Kowalsk is the second straight and fourth overall Gettysburg wrestler to win the award.

Ursinus' Terry Adams (125) collected the prestigious Chris Clifford Award, given annually to the senior with the most career points accumlated at the CC championship. Throughout his three championship appearances, Adams totaled 31 career points with one 125 title (2020) and two runner-up finishes (2022 & 2023).

All 10 individual champions secured CC gold medals for the first time, as all five returning champions were held off in their quests for a repeat. McDaniel led the way with four individual titles - Thomas Monn (149), Alex LaVeck (165), Michael Bromley (184), and Jaedyn Harris (197). Monn continued the torrid start to his rookie campaign as he is now a perfect 29-0 on the year.

Muhlenberg took home three individuals crowns with Joey Lamparelli (125), Brandon Bowles (157) and Anson Dewar (174) all emerging victorious. Romeo Rodriguez (Ursinus, 141) and Reid Garrison (Merchant Marine, 285) nabbed the lone invididual titles for their respective squads.

In addition to Luth, W&L's individual champions included Riley Parker (125), Charlie Cunningham (141), and Clay Chadwick (285). Joining Reyes as champions for Hopkins were Brent Lorin (133) and Joe Paul (174). Ursinus' Gary Nagle captured the 184 title as the lone individual champion for the Bears.

Ursinus still leads all Centennial schools with 60 champions since 1994. Muhlenberg is second (49), followed by McDaniel (48), Stevens (35), Merchant Marine (34), Johns Hopkins (28), Gettysburg (26), Washington and Lee (7), Swarthmore (2) and NYU (1).
