Gettysburg Women Capture Second-Straight Title

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg women's swimming team captured its second-straight Centennial Conference Championship Sunday with a team score of 635.5, besting second-place Franklin & Marshall by 38 points. The team title is the Bullets' 13th overall and fifth in six years.

The Swarthmore women's swimming team concluded its stunning weekend, breaking two pool records on Sunday. Sophomore Maggie Regan broke the pool record in the 200 breast with a time of 2:25.26 and Supriya Davis broke the pool record in the 200 fly in 2:03.88.

Franklin & Marshall freshman Katie Grant broke a pool record in the 1650 free with a time of 17:33.85 and grabbed an NCAA DIII B qualifying time.

Swarthmore freshman Supriya Davis earned the 2012 Women's Swimming Most Outstanding Performer Award, the first female freshman to win the award since 1999.
