Women's Swimming Honor Roll
Caroline Brennan, Dickinson (So, Madison, N.J./Madison)
Brennan dominated the distance events at Swarthmore on Saturday, winning both the 1000 (10:57.70) and 500 (5:20.16) yard freestyle events. She added a second place finish in the 200 butterfly, clocking a time of 2:16.94. The Red Devils swept the top three spots in three events, and captured second and third in both relays to hold off the Garnet, 104-101.
Courtney Collins, Franklin & Marshall (Fr., Pittsburgh, Pa./Shady Side Acadmey)
Collins paced the Diplomats with two individual victories against Gettysburg on Saturday in a hard-fought 149-113 contest. Collins picked up her first win in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall at 1:02.95. In the 100-yard butterfly Collins earned her second victory of the competition, finishing with a time of 1:01.93.
Ali Roth, Gettysburg (Jr., Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West)Roth won three individual events and took second in another while adding two first-place finishes and a second-place finish in the relays to help the Bullets to a 2-0 week. She won the 50-freestyle (25.15), took second in the 100-butterfly (1:04.10) and swam on the winning 400-medley relay (4:11.10) in a 119-86 victory Dickinson. Then in a 157-86 win at Franklin & Marshall, she captured the 50-freestyle (25.39) and 100-freestyle (55.78) while helping the 400-freestyle relay (3:44.13) to a victory. Also against F&M, she swam on the 200-medley relay team that finished second in 1:54.80, just 0.07 seconds behind another team from Gettysburg.
Caroline Sussman, McDaniel (Fr., Washington, D.C./Spring Ridge)
Sussman notched individual victories for McDaniel in the 100 (56.19) and 200 (2:00.65) freestyle events as part of a 117-79 win over Washington (Md.) on Saturday. Sussman was also part of the best time in the 200 free relay, albeit as exhibition. The quartet's time of 1:44.03 ranks ninth on the program's all-time list.
Supriya Davis, Swarthmore (So., Chapel Hill, N.C. / East Chapel Hill)
Davis delivered season-bests with dominating performances in both the 200 freestyle (1:56.59) and the 200 butterfly (2:09.53) to clinch two of the Garnet's five individual victories against Dickinson.
Kyleigh Hamilton, Ursinus (Fr., West Chester, Pa./West Chester East)
Hamilton won the 1650 free with a time of 18:45.05 in the win over Bryn Mawr last week.
Ellie Miskiel, Washington (Jr., Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard)Miskiel won the 200 individual medley in a Washington College season-best 2:19.10 and captured the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.39 during the Shorewomen's 117-79 loss to McDaniel Saturday.
