Bullets Down Dickinson, Stay Undefeated in Centennial Conference

The Gettysburg College swim team performed well in their final home meet of the season, defeating Dickinson College Wednesday evening in a Centennial Conference meet at the Bullets Pool. The Bullets (8-1, 6-0 CC) picked up a 119-86 victory and remain undefeated in the Centennial Conference heading into their final dual meet of the season at Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday. The women’s team did not have a double-winner, but five different Bullets picked up an individual victory. Junior Ali Roth (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks South) prevailed in the 50-freestyle (25.15), as did senior Caroline Coolidge (West Hartford, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford) in the 200-IM (2:14.71), freshman Alyssa Pepper (Livingston, N.J./Livingston) in the 100-backstroke (1:04.07), and freshman Lea Candelmo (Oakland, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) in the 500-freestyle (5:15.77). In addition, freshman Marie Gingher (Boalsburg, Pa./State College) led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100-breastroke, finishing in 1:10.00.
