Lyman Sets Dickinson Record in 1000 Free

(Lancaster, Pa.) – The Dickinson women's swim team saw a school record fall on Saturday, but suffered a 125-80 setback at Franklin & Marshall. First-year Olivia Lyman (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Horace Greeley) broke the school record in the 1,000 yard freestyle, clocking a time of 10:28.91.

Lyman placed second in the 1,000 and added a first place finish, swimming the second leg of the 400 free relay. Sophomore Brenna Nimkoff (Weston, Conn./Weston) was third in the event, posting a time of 10:57.69.

Senior Caitlin Klockner (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough Regional) was a triple-winner on the day, touching the wall first in the 100 (54.41) and 200 (1:58.68) yard freestyle events, and swimming the anchor leg of the free relay.

First-year Sammy Boswell (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) claimed three silvers, anchoring the medley relay, and finishing second in the 50 freestyle (25.88) and the 100 free (55.83). Classmate Katie Schmidt (Orono, Minn./Breck School) swam the lead leg of the medley relay and added wins in the 200 backstroke (2:10.10) and with the free relay.

Junior Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) went 1-2-3 on the day, joining the medley and free relays, and capturing third in the backstroke with a time of 2:15.08. Classmate Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) swam the second leg of the medley relay and placed third in the breaststroke, coming in at 2:38.33.
