GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Two-time defending champion Ursinus won five of the seven races Saturday night to extend its team lead at the 2016 Centennial Conference women's swimming championship at Gettysburg's Bullets Pool.

The Bears have 561 points to outdistance Gettysburg (450) for the top spot. Franklin & Marshall is third (345.5), followed by Dickinson (278), Swarthmore (277), Washington College (238.5), McDaniel (189) and Bryn Mawr (93).

Ursinus started and ended the evening with relay victories. Peyten Lyons, Olivia Tierney, Clara Baker and Michaela Lyons won the 200 medley relay with a Conference-record time of 1:46.10. Peyten Lyons teamed with Corinne Capodanno, Sydney Gundersen and Magie Leitz to win the 800 free relay in a CC record time if 7:40.43.

Baker also captured the 100 fly with a 55.74 clocking after setting a Conference record in trials of 55.54. Capodanno also won the 200 free with a time of 1:52.11. Peyten Lyons capped off a great night with a gold in the 100 backstroke in 57.27 after establishing a Conference mark in the 400 medley relay last night in 56.50.

Other winners included Franklin & Marshall's Melissa Mullin in the 400 IM in 4:32.95 and Gettysburg's Caroline Moyer in ghe 100 breast in 1:05.59.

The championship concludes on Sunday with the trials beginning at 10 a.m. and the final starting at 6 p.m.
