Swarthmore Nabs Three All-America Awards on Day Two

GREENSBORO, NC - Swarthmore's Quinn Weygandt and two Garnet relay teams claimed All-America accolades to headline day two action of the NCAA Swimming Championships Thursday night. 

Weygandt collected the lone individual All-America finish on day two, taking 13th in the 400 IM with a consolation finals time of 4:27.26. Earlier in the day, the freshman standout swam 4:26.73 in the prelims, breaking her own Centennial record of 4:27.33 that she set at last month's CC championship. 

The Garnet women's 400 medley relay team also put together a record-breaking performance en route to All-America recognition. The quartet of Erin Szuromi, Sophie Rotival, Ashley Wong and Elle Anthony touched in 3:47.00, setting a new Centennial standard. The previous 400 medley record of 3:47.67 was set by Ursinus at the 2019 CC championship meet. 

On the men's side, Swarthmore's 400 medley relay squad of Joey Lukner, Andrew Karpenko, Cami Wilson and Cole Griscavage posted a time of 3:20.85 to finish 15th and earn All-America honorable mention laurels.
